Do people assume you are a christian simply based on how you love others? Jesus said you can recognize His disciples by the way they love each other!
Loving people is the evidence that we love God. Not loving people causes others to be confused about the reality of our faith. If you want others to know you are a disciple of Jesus, then He would have you practicing love. Think less of yourself and more about others. Serve others more than you serve yourself.
Jesus began this chapter modeling what it means to love and to serve. He has set an example for us to follow.
