The Jews were struggling with Gentiles being saved. Why? Because the Gentiles were not keeping the religious requirements of the law of Moses. The Jews believed that salvation came through keeping the law…works. Paul taught a different message. In fact, he taught that even the Jews who were saved were saved by faith…not works!
This is the truth of the gospel. Jesus is the only One that saves. No work or any amount of works can make us righteous before God. Only Jesus. Only His work on the cross. Our "work" is to believe.
