It is crazy to think about! I would have loved for God to have recorded some of the conversations that Mary and Joseph had with Jesus the boy. Or something that happened when he was with his siblings growing up. Yet, we have nothing in scripture but silence.
In fact, Jesus' family would struggle to become worshipers. Likely, only Mary believed before He died! Jesus withheld Himself from exercising deity until His time had come. These are interesting things to think about.
i agree. watching Jesus as a child would have given us great insight into how much of what we experience is part of the regular human experience and how much of it is a result of internal, sinful disposition.
ReplyDeleteit is a great insight in considering the fact that He deliberately withheld His deity in many regards until the proper time. He was not using prayer to clean up His room. He was not having angels do His homework. He was different because He was sinless, but He did not flex His divinity.
