Have you ever read a chapter or verse of the Bible and knew it was meant for you in the very moment you are living? Today is that day for me.  I love the Word of God!!!!

Walking worthy of Christ is impossible!  We will never be "worthy" but we are to be "walking" the path that Jesus has blazed for us.  Notice the first three qualities we are to have...gentleness, patience, acceptance.  Hmm.  Would those be the qualities that describe you?  Generally that is not me.

When it comes to truth, we are definitely to speak it!  Yet notice the method in which we are to speak truth... in love.  When love is not motivating our words we probably should shut up.  How much would you talk if love was always the motivator?  I would say far less.

The most powerful thing in this chapter for me though was vs. 25.  "Since you put away lying..."  Paul was acknowledging that the thing that keeps us from walking worthy begins with truth.  Truth living and truth speaking.  When we choose to speak or live in lies, we live in utter futility.
