Even today many look to Jesus for the miracle that He could preform to make their life better. Jesus is primarily interested in giving us eternal life, not making our earthly life a better party. In fact, often the life that He gives actually makes this life more difficult.
As we place our faith in Jesus, let's be among those who are not expecting Him to make our lives more comfortable, but rather among those who are looking to obey Him in this life so that our eternal live will be full of His great reward.
