Death makes Jesus angry! He gave His life to conquer human death. He is the "resurrection and the life", anyone who believes in Him will be saved from eternal death.

The worst thing that could happen to us is not our death, but rather that we refuse to place our faith in Jesus. The story of Lazarus beautifully illustrates our need to trust Jesus, not only in this life, but most definitely for the life to come. He is the resurrection and the life! He is the only One who has conquered sin and death.

But this is the "easy part". Following Jesus in this life is much more difficult than believing on Him in death. Today, Jesus is calling us to "die to ourselves" and follow Him. This is the difficult challenge.

Live to follow Jesus. It will be worth it. Death is actually the door of entry to eternal life! Living for Jesus will matter most after we are dead.
